Citrix or Terminal Server

Please follow the standard installation practices for Terminal Server and Citrix server configurations. Under the "Good Practices" section it is always best to install software when there are no users logged in to the server.

  1. In your web browser, click the link to the download.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • To install the program immediately, click Open or Run, and then follow the instructions on your screen.  If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    • To install the program later, click Save, and then  download the installation file to your computer. When you're ready to install the program, double-click the file, and then follow the instructions on your screen.

Once installed you can restart ACT then go to the Administration Panel to configure individual users access to each module or the entire suite if desired.

Load balancing.
For server farms supporting load balancing our add-on needs to be registered on one server first. Then you balance to the next server by copying the 'salt' file generated on the fist server to new or existing servers in the farm.

The location of this salt file is:
ACT.StartupPath + "\Plugins\Durkin Computing\ServerSalt.txt"

Please copy this file to the same location all the servers in the farm. Once this file is copied then the registration will be load balanced. This ServerSalt.txt stops the add-on from asking for registration each time the users hits a different physical serve.
