Impact Suite and all the individual modules store preferences and setting in two locations for; 1. network and 2. local/user preferences. 

Network preferences are files such as; the layouts and color rules which used across the entire database. These files are located  in the act! supplemental files folder for each database:
\\MYSERVER\MYDATBASE-database files\Durkin\

The local folder is used to store preferences such as date range and current lookup stuff. These files are located in:
MYDOCUMENTS-> Durkin Impact v5

Sometime you may want to copy or move preferences ans settings from one PC to another. You may have a laptop you want to set up identical to your desktop PC or you may have designed the perfect settings one one PC and you want to install those setting to all the other users on the network. To perform any of these tasks please follow these steps:


From the source PC

1. Close ACT!
2. Go to START-> MY DOCUMENTS
3. Copy the folder names "Durkin Impact v4" to a server drive or thumb drive.

1. Close ACT!
2. Go to START-> MY DOCUMENTS
   
3. Copy the "Durkin Impact v5" folder from the server into this folder.
4. When prompted answer "Yes" to overwrite/merge the foder
