Many time you may want a custom table or a native list information to appear at the top of the details page rather then on a tab. You may also wish to display a component at the top of a list view. For either of these conditions we call this an in line component.

In-line components can be used at the top of a list view or at the top of the details page

1. Top of the list view,  known as In Line list dashboards
2. Top of the details page, known as an In Line details component
